Hope everyone is well. I wanted to thank you all for your continued support. As you may know, I’ve been really busy filming these last couple of months and some of you have been asking when these new shows are going to air? I’ve been able to get some dates.
Some roles are larger, some are smaller, you know how it is.
Thanks again, Roberto

UPDATE from June 30, 2008
Hello everyone, please help support this very funny Indie film, The Yardsale. It is an all- Latino cast (but it is in English). It is now available at your nearest Blockbusters. “A luckless twenty-eight year old organizes a garage sale in order to replace the damaged engagement ring he had hoped to use to propose to his girlfriend in this comedy starring Dementrius Navarro, Aris Alvarado, and Roberto Sanchez. Hector Cruz was all ready to pop the big question when his 300 pound best friend Peanut destroyed the all-important engagement ring. Now, in order to raise the money needed to replace the symbol of his love, Hector plans to hold the yard sale to end all yard sales. It’s not going to be easy for Hector to raise such a large amount of cash in such a short time though, because as soon as he puts his items up for sale, his lifelong rival Chuy turns up looking for trouble. Is Hector’s relationship-saving yard sale doomed to fail before the first customer turns up? ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide”

Hope everyone is well. If you get the chance, check out “Heroes” tonight at 9pm on NBC. Assuming the scene does not get cut, I play the cop questioning Hayden’s character about the accident. Thank you for the continued support. Best, Roberto
UPDATE from an April 2007 email to AMTC CEO, Carey Arban
Carey, hope all is well. Things are going well here in L.A. I recently worked on a Pilot called “Fugly” and just finished working on “Cold Case”- both for CBS. A stage production that I was in (Our Lady of 121st Street) has been nominated “Best Ensemble;” the awards are on Monday. The reason I am witting is to ask a trivia question about A.M.T.C.!
Have any 2 of our contestants ever worked on the SAME major studio film? Answer: Roberto Sanchez and Ashley Scott (Adam Sandler’s Strange Wilderness Just thought you’d like to know :) Adios – R

Roberto Sanchez was the Overall Male Model Winner at AMTC in 1996.
He has been a role model in every regard! Following is an excerpt from his on-line website and bio!
Roberto Sanchez Gallinat was born in Havana Cuba on Jan 04, 1965.
Roberto’s parents (Roberto & Isabel) decided to flee cuba in 1969. Roberto’s father was a member of the Cuban National Olympic Judo team and made provisions for his family to leave the country. The Cuban government did not allow his father to leave the country but the rest of the family did, including Roberto’s older brother (Gustavo). They traveled to Madrid Spain…..and after 1 year, they arrived in Miami.
He grew up in “Little Havana”, a rough, predominantly Cuban sector of Miami. Although his first love was the Martial Arts, he quickly excelled in Basketball. He was awarded a scholarship at Miami Private, where in his Junior year led the team to the state semi-finals. After 12 years apart, his father arrived in the United States!
In 1985, Roberto entered the U.S. Navy. He worked as a Boiler Technician on board the carriers USS Nimitz, USS Forrestal and the USS Wasp. His passion for basketball continued, playing in semi-pro leagues in Europe and making the All Navy Basketball Squad. He is a Desert Storm veteran and was in the gulf during the war. After the war, he was assigned shore duty in Virginia Beach, VA as a Military Police Officer! It is during this time that his interest in modeling began! He ended his military career in 1995 as an E-5.
Roberto signed with a small agency in Virginia and shortly after attemped to catch the interest of some of the mayor agencies in NY…………….to no avail!!!! In 1996, after months of rejection, Roberto decided to enter a major national modeling convention (AMTC) in hopes of showing his talent to these same agents! He won “Model of the Year” honors. He then signs with an agency in Atlanta, GA, where for the next 5 years does over 100 fashion shows, commercial print jobs and several commercials. After 16 years, Roberto returned to Miami to pursue bigger opportunities!
He arrived back in Miami in 2001 and began working in Spanish commercials, informercials and print work. Several months later, Roberto auditioned for the film, 2 Fast 2 Furious, the sequel to The Fast and The Furious and got a callback with Director, John Singleton! Roberto became the only principle actor in the film to be cast out of Miami!
After filming 2F2F, he moved to Los Angeles (2003). and appeared in shows and films such as Desperate Housewives, Arrested Development, Criminal Minds, The District, and She Spies. Roberto’s career has continued to grow. He is as unstoppable!
